Costa Rica GREEN Program Day 6: 1/13/15

This is not a zoo. This is a wildlife rehabilitation center. A majority of the animals are actually kept offsite to minimize contact with humans in the hopes that they can be re-released into the wild. During our “boat safari” that morning, we had seen several animals from far away. Here, they were right at our finger tips; some were even willing to bite those off.

In order of appearance:

– Toucan

– Jaguar

– Squirrel Monkey

– Jaguarundi

– Otter

– Parrots (who happily squeaked Hola! as everyone walked past)
