New Years Eve on the Caribbean coast at Puerto Viejo was everything I expected it to be – aka awesome. Danny and I bar hopped until ridiculously early in the morning, but most of our time was spent at Lazy Mon. The lead singer from the band was from Madrid and sang in Spanish, but his waist-long dreadlocks and singing style could have been straight from Jamaica. At midnight the fireworks went straight up over the crowd’s head, the sounds of the explosions mixing with the nearby crashing waves.
